From Mantra to Bliss: Practices to Activate Your Quantum Potential

As we explore the quantum body and beyond, the new science of living a longer, healthier, and more vital life, I’d like to share with you an idea of how you can live in the physical world but at all times be connected to your quantum body and the quantum reality which pervades the entire universe. In order to understand this, the first thing to realize is that your physical body is the appearance that your quantum body takes on as a result of entropy. Your physical body is an appearance. How do you know you have a physical body? You see it as a form. The most compelling experience of physicality is form. You see it. You also experience your body as solid through the experience called touch.

These two, seeing and touching, are the most convincing evidence that something is physical. You can make a noise with it. You can taste it. You can smell it. Let’s say you were only experiencing the noise, taste, or smell. You wouldn’t know, but there is something that we call a physical body. You would experience smell, taste, or sound. Once you see it and you touch it, then the concept of physicality emerges.

The Importance Of Meditation And Mantra

Why is meditation important, especially when you close your eyes? First of all, the form disappears. In meditation, you’re not tasting or smelling anything. You’re not making any other sounds. All you experience as the body is sensations. All you experience as the body are also emotions. You experience thoughts, but there’s nothing else. There’s no evidence of a physical body when the eyes are closed and when the other senses have quieted down. There’s only the sensation of the body.

Along with the sensation of the body, there may be some emotions and thoughts. You’re now getting closer to the quantum body. Therefore, experiencing the body through the sensation we call breath gets you closer to the quantum body before it has differentiated into mind, intellect, ego, and, ultimately, the appearance of the ego body, conceptual body, karmic body, or whatever you want to call it. It is a projection of the interpretation of past experiences.

One way to get close to your quantum body is to continually experience it by feeling the sensations of the body. That includes feeling the breath. Breath is also a sensation in the body. You’re getting closer. When you use mantra meditation or mindful awareness when you bring awareness to any sensation in the body, you allow the sensation to completely dissolve, and then you have reached the most fundamental level of existence, which is quantum reality.

You then realize, and this takes a bit of time to realize, that your physical body and what we call the physical universe are a single field of energy, information, and, ultimately, consciousness. The body is your connection to what we may metaphorically call the cosmic computer, which is organizing an infinity of events all simultaneously by listening to your body and responding to it with awareness.

Listening means listening to the sensations and feeling the body including feeling the breath. By listening to the body and responding to it with awareness, you tap into the field of infinite possibilities where the natural experience is peace, harmony, and joy. That is why the quantum body is also referred to as the causal body because it itself has no cause. It is causal. It is ultimately without form. What else can you do to experience your causal body? What else you can do is you can transcend all perceptual activity through mantra practice. You can trace every perceptual activity to its source. Ultimately, you can also experience your body as it really is, which is without form.

Quantum Body: By listening to the body and responding to it with awareness, you tap into the field of infinite possibilities, where the natural experience is peace, harmony, and joy.


Tapping Into The Bliss Body

Let’s try this. Close your eyes and feel the sensations in your body. That’s it. Feel the breath in your body. Become aware of your internal dialogue, the conversation that you’re having with yourself. If you are remembering a pleasant experience, your body will feel energetic and pleasurable. If you’re recalling an unpleasant experience, your body will experience unpleasant sensations. That’s why we call this the karmic or conceptual body. Behind this is the real causal body, which is often referred to as the bliss body.

If you want to activate the bliss body, then commit yourself to the following three things. Number one, make choices to maximize the energy in the body. Realize that the body is a connection to the universe’s infinite supply of energy. If you’re feeling a lack of energy in any way, it means that you’re resisting the flow of this infinite supply. Ask your body what it needs and follow its advice. The ideal state is to experience such lightness of being that you do not feel bound by the body at all. It and the universe are one.

Secondly, before you act on any emotion, consult your heart. Your heart is a reliable guide. When you put your trust in it, it will help you experience empathy, compassion, and love. The heart is the seat of emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence allows you to get in touch with your deeper self. It nurtures all relationships by reminding you to see yourself in the other, which is empathy.

Thirdly, understand that the quantum body is experienced as the lightness of being. Lightness of being in your body will be your indicator of joy and happiness. If you feel heavy or dull in the body, then pay attention because these feelings are signs that you are suffering from inertia and the force of habit rather than experiencing the potential in every present moment for freshness in your life. The best way to replenish the body is to give it what it needs, whether it’s sleep or rest, life-giving nourishment, the joy of movement, or communion with nature.

Those are ways to get in touch with your quantum body. Let’s go a little even further. Close your eyes. As you breathe in, feel your body filling up with formless awareness. Feel your head filling up with formless awareness. Feel your chest. Feel your abdomen. Feel your limbs filling up with formless awareness, transparent and translucent, and then let the edges of the body dissolve. You as the formless are one with the universe and the cosmic mind, which is also formless. That formless causal body of the universe is projecting itself as the appearance of the universe, including the appearance of the physical body.

Quantum Body: Learn how to be self-regulated by attention and intention by being aware of what your body needs in the present moment.


In Summary

Let’s summarize. Listen to your body. Understand that your body is connected to the infinite source of energy and information of the universe which is doing almost an infinite number of things simultaneously. Feel your body and feel your breath, and then go beyond that. Experience the formless nature of your body and ultimately the mind of God or the divine mind which appears as a constantly changing physical body in the physical universe. Listen to how to self-regulate it by attention, intention, and being aware of what your body needs in the present moment. I hope this helps a little bit.
