Hundreds of local women attended the last day of the annual Women’s Week conference for a lesson in empowerment from holistic health guru Deepak Chopra.
Chopra said the event is a chance for women of all ages and professions to connect and inspire each other.
“It's very clear that today we are living in moment of great transition with war and conflict and climate change and poverty and social injustice,” he said. “Lots of big issues, and I think we need women to start taking a lead right now.”
The week-long program also featured actress Kim Coles and furniture expert Rebecca Justice as speakers.
