Ask Deepak

What if we don’t want to live by “social norms”?.

When your mind and heart are truly open abundance will flow to you effortlessly and easily.

“I am now in my 20s with no car, no conventional job, no cell phone, and quite frankly, no desire to live by the standards set by society.

Most people would claim this as having a twisted world perspective, but I feel in my heart that it’s right for me to live without these things.

It’s not out of a place of fear, because that is what I originally thought, but after deep introspection, I just don’t see a need or real desire for these things (for the most part), and I wonder about your perspective on this.

Is this ok?

Is it wrong for me to so deeply wish to set the standards for my own life?

Everyone around me thinks it is, and truth be told it does weigh on me.

My greatest desire is to help and push humanity forward, but I just feel that I cannot do this while being subject to society’s conditioning.

What should I do?”

It’s not only ‘okay’ to live life on your own terms, that is what becoming a fully formed adult requires.

Authenticity is also the surest way for one person to make a real difference in improving the world.

This means you are in touch with your core self and finding value and direction from within, instead of from the values and messaging of the media, advertising, and social expectations.

Simply continuing to listen and to live according to your inner guidance is all you need to do to be an agent of positive change for humanity.
