Thinking and Being.

Quote.

When your mind and heart are truly open abundance will flow to you effortlessly and easily.

Question:
Have you ever heard "you are your thoughts", "you are what you think"..those common phrases…nevertheless, you say we should be independent from our thoughts, because they are not what we really are. Can you explain better these ideas? Can you give me a certain concrete exercise to detach from my thoughts?

Response:
Our true self is unconditioned consciousness which is beyond thoughts, feelings or actions. That pure essence is our deepest reality. The thoughts that emerge from our higher self go to form our conditioning, our habits, our behavior. So thoughts are not our true nature, but thoughts help structure our outer, relative personality and physicality. The simplest way to detach from your thoughts is to meditate and gradually experience subtler and subtler aspects of thought until it disappears and you are left in pure awareness beyond all thinking.
Love,
Deepak
