Personal Creation.

Quote.

When your mind and heart are truly open abundance will flow to you effortlessly and easily.

Question:

I have been meditating for quite a while using Primordial Sound Meditation, although not as regularly as I want to. One of my desires is to get rid of anger in myself which I have noticed in myself lately and people close to me have noticed too. It seems the day I meditate I tend to get more angry. I am wondering whether I should continue meditation or change my mantra. However, on the flip side I feel meditation has helped me in other things.

Answer:

If anger is a life-long pattern, it will not necessarily go away immediately once you begin meditating. It is not a question of having the right mantra or not, your mantra is fine. If the anger is something that has just sprung up since you started meditating, then the first thing to look at is whether you are meditating correctly, effortlessly. The next thing is to be sure you are allowing enough time after meditation to come out into activity gradually. If you come out of meditation too quickly, it will jar the nervous system and it can create irritability that can manifest as anger throughout the day.

It could also be that the anger is due to meditation clearing out deep stored anger from the past, and this process is taking time. If this is the case, we need to be patient with the process. There are a few things we can do to help smoothen the process. Sometimes, when we are in the middle of a deep healing process like this we need to allow ourselves even more time to come out of meditation. Take time to lie down for 5 or 10 minutes afterward. You can follow it with some easy pranayama and some yoga asanas as well to smooth things out. See if that helps.

Love,
Deepak

When we fertilise the garden., the roses grow,.. But so do the weeds. ... When I first stared meditating, I had a few years of `weeding ` to do!!! Still need to weed but, thankfully there are more roses and less weeds now.... Meditation `wakes up` dormant seeds within us and, sometimes these seeds , Sown life times ago, need to be put in the compost heap. Xxx
