Meditation and God.

Quote.

When your mind and heart are truly open abundance will flow to you effortlessly and easily.

Question:

In an answer to a question on meditation you once wrote: ‘Once you put yourself in the flow of universal intelligence, you can feel assured that your growth is proceeding as quickly and perfectly as possible.’

My question is: Is meditation becoming conscious of being one with God?  I sometimes feel the need to give thanks, but is it more important just to be in the presence of God and let God be God in one’s being?

Response:

Becoming conscious of your unity with God is a perfectly valid way of understanding your meditation experience. During your meditation practice, you don’t need to do anything to give thanks or to do anything other than follow your meditation instructions.  Gratitude emerges naturally through deeper appreciation of the divine, and that appreciation unfolds spontaneously as one gains self-knowledge and releases the conditioning that obscures true perception. The process of awakening to your divinity already contains all the steps in the blossoming of the heart in devotion and gratitude.

Deepak
