Letting Go of Ego.

Question:
I’ve been learning about how letting go of my ego will ultimately have a better outcome on my life and the things that happen to me, but if I am letting go of my ego with the intention of experiencing better things, isn’t that my ego?
Response:
It is the ego if there is an expectation attached to the desire to feel better and then is frustrated if it doesn’t happen as planned. But don’t make this a complicated issue. Letting go of the illusion of control is just learning to trust in the wisdom of life.
