Ask Deepak

How do we know if it’s really love?.

Quote.

When your mind and heart are truly open abundance will flow to you effortlessly and easily.

Question:

“Recently my life has changed as I stepped onto the path of spirituality.

I started meditating and completed four 21-day meditation challenges.

The most precious and greatest thing I accomplished during your meditations was becoming aware that I am not my body nor my mind.

I think it is the most valuable thing to discover about ourselves, because after that we become silent observers.

Getting to the point, I wanted to ask you about love relationships.

I am a young independent woman, in love for many years with a man who was out of reach for a long time because of his status and age difference.

We have a very deep connection and I believe he is my soulmate.

Recently he has started a new life as a single person, which I never thought would be possible for him because he was in a long-term relationship with a very complicated background.

For some time now, during my spiritual evolution, I feel an amazing bond with him.

I have never felt it before.

I love him unconditionally, despite everything I’ve been through and I just want him to be happy.

Can this feeling come from ego?

Is it possible?“

Response:

From what you have relayed in your letter, it doesn’t sound like your love is ego-based, it sounds truly unconditional.

The true self is complete and content within itself as life is.

It accepts the world and loves people unconditionally.

The ego, or the apparently separate self, is always trying to change things by acquiring or pushing things away.

It accepts situations or loves people based on conditions or judgments.

Love,

Deepak
