How can we know what our core beliefs are?.
When your mind and heart are truly open abundance will flow to you effortlessly and easily.
Question:
“I have listened to your 21-day meditation of ‘Become What You Believe.’
I had a breakthrough experience a couple of months ago, and ever since then, I have been searching for ways to reach that state (i.e. better self/ true self/bliss) again.
It was a short moment of higher consciousness since I felt unconditional love within me, just like you described, in the state of the true self.
It was a feeling of knowing what I want, knowing what I need to do, and core beliefs were pure & direct and I knew what they all were.
I also felt that I was loving/loveable, worthy, safe and whole.
However, the moment was short-lived and I was pulled back to my ego self.
All I want is to be in touch with my soul or become my true self so that I can love.
It seemed like I knew what my core beliefs were during the breakthrough experience but since I had been pulled back to my ego self, I do not seem to remember what they were.
You mentioned that one of the ways to reach my true self is by listing my core beliefs and acting on them.
Since I’m unclear about what my core beliefs are now, would acting on the 4 major core beliefs that you mentioned (i.e. I am loveable, worthy, safe and whole) be sufficient to help reach my true self?
Are there ways that you suggest to help me find out what my core beliefs are?”
Response:
This is typically how the awakening to the true self unfolds: we have brief glimpses of insight followed by a return of the old awareness.
Then another opening of awareness occurs with deeper understandings, again followed by a contraction into the ego personality.
But each time the expansion of awareness is greater and the contraction into the separate self is weaker.
This is the process of integration of spiritual awakening into the fabric of everyday life.
You don’t need to try to recapture a previous insight or experience.
All you need to do is be conscious and receptive to these cycles of growth in the present moment.
Your core beliefs underlying this development will be some variation on the four outlined in the meditation.
It’s not necessary to nail down the specific beliefs that occurred to you in your epiphany.
The process is already intelligent and perfect as it is and it will take you to where you need to be and what you need to know.
