Getting What You Want.
When your mind and heart are truly open abundance will flow to you effortlessly and easily.
Question:
In light of all the New Age teachings out there now and so many people trying to Manifest the life of their dreams [wealth, esp.], I see very little of this happening. I am a 49-year-old woman who cleans hotel rooms and have always loved being a housewife and mother. This is where I felt my purpose is. I have grandchildren now and would love the financial wealth and freedom to live the life of my dreams and enjoy showing them the world. I suppose what I am getting at is and no one seems to come right out and ask is: Is it really possible for me to manifest the wealth I desire? Esp. given my current place. After looking all over the many web sites for success stories I really find nothing but a lot of excuses and people in the same boat I am so to speak.
Just recently I listened to your Creating Affluence CD, the simplicity of the message so spoke to me, and reminded me of a saying that AA uses, “Keep It Simple Stupid”. Your words feel true to my heart. Perhaps I am Jesus’ doubting Thomas and need someone to tell me the truth straight out in plain language, [someone I respect] but I know I am not the only one.
Response:
Affluence is a state of consciousness where one recognizes that the ease, creativity and joy in creation is your very Self. Abundance is not about getting your ego’s wish list met in a timely manner. So from this perspective, “No, you will not likely manifest the wealth to live the life of your dreams.” It’s certainly within the realm of possibilities to win the lottery, but what I encourage is using your desire for wealth to open yourself to that state of abundance that is your natural birthright and then aligning your ego’s desires to your life’s purpose. So instead of your limited individuality making demands upon the universe in order to feel happy, you are living from that state of fulfillment and your universal Self expresses abundance and joy through every thought and act of your individuality.

I would say to this lady that in her joy of motherhood and in her work that she does, she is giving something of great value to humankind, and that she will surely receive joy and abundance from the Universe, maybe not in the form that she expects.

Very interesting, and I appreciate the question as well as the simplistic answer.
