Emotions.

Quote.

When your mind and heart are truly open abundance will flow to you effortlessly and easily.

Question:

Could you talk a little about emotions?   How does one live them without getting sucked in and off centered by them?  I don’t wanna be cold and emotionless but I also like the feeling of being centered. Are emotions from the ego? Or are there emotions that come from the essence or true self as well?

Response:

Emotions are an important part of our range of experience, but the extent that they reflect our essence will vary drastically from one person to the next. To become spiritually free from the tyranny of ego-based emotions requires that you identify primarily with your inner self as who you are, and not the passing feelings that you are having. It is a common misunderstanding that this shifting of allegiances means that one becomes cold, and emotionless, but that is not the case. You are in a much better position to love others and enjoy life when you actually know who you are—who is the one who enjoys and loves. You open yourself to much more refined and universal emotions like compassion. Otherwise it is your emotions experiencing through you, not you living through your emotions.

Love,

Deepak
