Ask Deepak

Comforting Beliefs.

Quote.

When your mind and heart are truly open abundance will flow to you effortlessly and easily.

Question:

Deepak, I want to believe in a God. It would be so comforting to know that there is more to this life than just some sort of giant cosmic accident. I’d like to know that there is some actual meaning to in this existence. But, sadly, I fear that just like the little girl, Virginia, who wrote a letter to a newspaper asking if there really is a Santa Claus we are being handed the same line. I believe well minded individuals who wish to comfort us in this existence continue to perpetuate the myths and stories told by uneducated people 2,000 years ago. How can we count on was had been written down and edited by someone had reasons to put their own spin on the –(insert religious book name here)?. Is there any solace you can offer me?

Response:

I don’t think that lasting solace comes from beliefs handed down from one person to the next. True security and peace comes from direct experience of your own reality, and that experience transcends belief, ideology and hope. If you want genuine solace and understanding of life, you need to go beyond what others say, and experience the source of life and existence itself in the depths of your own being. All the reassurance you want is always available to you in your quiet awareness.

Love,

Deepak
