Being of Service.

Quote.

When your mind and heart are truly open abundance will flow to you effortlessly and easily.

Question:

When is it okay to put yourself first? I am a mother who has raised her children selflessly for the past 13 years while working in home daycare. I still work in a job in the one-on-one care of multiple children. I am increasingly finding myself anxious and unmotivated with my job. I have been in this career field for over a decade and I want to pursue other avenues that are better suited to me at this time. I have always believed in the principle of service to others but when is it okay to put yourself first? I feel I will be disappointing the parents and the children in my care by deciding to quit and move on to some other career. I am feeling “stuck”.

Response:

Activity that is in accord with your life purpose will automatically balance your individual needs with your service to others. It’s not really a matter of choosing yourself over others. However, when find that your service to others is no longer supporting your own needs, then it’s time to find another activity where that balance can be achieved.

Love,

Deepak
