Achieving Peace of Mind.
When your mind and heart are truly open abundance will flow to you effortlessly and easily.
Question:
I don't meditate, yet I am able to achieve a peace of mind under difficult circumstances through a correct attitude. For example, when I encounter hostile person who is trying to provoke me in some way, I quickly assess the situation and respond in a least confrontations way, even agreeing with the person to calm them down. If that is not possible, I make my exit before the person's next wave of insults. So, far it has worked well every time. I've also taught myself not to carry the experience with me. I consciously leave it there where it happened. In that way, I am able to recover quickly from whatever took place. My question is, why do we not hear about other equally successful, if not more safe methods of dealing with stress?
Response:
You have a wonderful system of handling stressful encounters. I especially like the way you have learned to not hold on to the negativity afterward. That is key. If you look at magazines and bookstores, I don’t think there is a lack of advice on how deal with stress. It’s a matter of finding out what works for you. Your approach works so well for you because you are able to keep your presence of mind and respond intelligently. For many people they have accumulated so much stress from the past that new situations easily trigger a disproportionate anger, resentment, and fear, and so they are immediately off balance. Such a reaction does not allow them the to deal with negativity or crisis with the same calm assessment that you can. So people need different approaches for handling their own situation. Also, since most people have a hard time letting go of the stressful encounter later, they need something like meditation or a relaxation technique that can help them release it afterward.

Coping with stressful situations are one of the biggest challenges we human beings are confronted with during lifetime. To react as peaceful as possible is a goal I set everyday. Techniques known by mindfulness help me to react, instead of being `grabbed` by The situation.
