From my understanding: The result of the first thought was the Big Bang. From the One becomes many. An analogy is the seventh chakra Sahasrara, the thousand petaled lotus. One lotus exists with many petals. Each petal sees itself as separate, a discrete part of the underlying unity of the flower as a living being. The reasoning for the division is this: How does one see Oneself without a reflection? How does one know light without dark, or anything without something to compare it to?
