Worcester, MA – Super Genes: The Future of Wellbeing.

Join Deepak Chopra as he shares a bold new understanding of our genes and how simple changes in lifestyle can boost genetic activity. The leap into “radical well-being” is a promise waiting to be fulfilled.

For decades medical science has believed that genes determine our biological destiny. Now the new genetics has changed that assumption forever. You will always have the genes you were born with, but genes are dynamic, responding to everything we think, say, and do.

When you make lifestyle choices that optimize how your genes behave, you can reach for a state of health and fulfillment undreamed of even a decade ago. The impact on prevention, immunity, diet, aging, and chronic disorders is unparalleled and will revolutionize how we understand ourselves and the health of those around us.

Deepak will address these questions as well as practical ways to experience higher consciousness, transformation and healing.

Dr. Maria Montessori discovered that the process of our self-construction begins at (or before) birth, and because we have not recognized this, humankind has far from realized it's full potential . Her 'method' of education is not to teach (facts and figures) - but to work in synchrony with human development --supporting each person's unique path. When we do this, children learn (more facts and figures) and engage in activities that we never imagined possible. Their creative energy flows. Their compassion and generosity is humbling to behold. My deepest desire is for us to make the wisdom we are practicing as adults available to our newest members of the human family (and to make it available in more areas of their lives -- as can be accomplished in our intentionally designed environments that are aligned with this purpose). “This is education, understood as a help to life; an education from birth, which feeds a peaceful revolution and unites all in a common aim, attracting them as to a single centre. Mothers, fathers, politicians: all must combine in their respect and help for this delicate work of formation, which the little child carries on in the depth of a profound psychological mystery, under the tutelage of an inner guide. This is the bright new hope for mankind.” "The child is the spiritual builder of mankind, and obstacles to his free development are the stones in the wall by which the soul of man has become imprisoned." "Impressions do not merely enter the child's mind, they form it." "Even when helping and serving the children, [the teacher] must not cease to observe them, because the birth of concentration in a child is as delicate a phenomenon as the bursting of a bud into bloom. But she will not be watching with the aim of making her presence felt, or of helping the weaker ones by her own strength. She observes in order to recognize the child who has attained the power to concentrate and to admire the glorious rebirth of his spirit." "Education should no longer be mostly imparting of knowledge, but must take a new path, seeking the release of human potentialities." "Not in the service of any political or social creed should the teacher work, but in the service of the complete human being, able to exercise in freedom a self-disciplined will and judgment, unperverted by prejudice and undistorted by fear." "A new education from birth onwards must be built up. Education must be reconstructed and based on the law of nature and not on the preconceived notions and prejudices of adult society." "Children are human beings to whom respect is due, superior to us by reason of their innocence and of the greater possibilities of their future." "One of the great problems facing men is their failure to realize the fact that a child possesses an active psychic life even when he cannot manifest it." "If a child is to be treated differently than he is today a radical change, and one upon which everything else will depend, must first be made; and that change must be made in the adult." “An education capable of saving humanity is no small undertaking; it involves the spiritual development of man, the enhancement of his value as an individual, and the preparation of young people to understand the times in which they live.” "Children decide on their actions under the prompting of natural laws. If someone usurps the function of this guide the child is prevented from developing either his will or his concentration [early in life]. "Since it has been seen to be necessary to give so much to the child, let us give him a vision of the whole universe. The universe is an imposing reality, and an answer to all questions." "We shall walk together on this path of life, for all things are a part of the universe, and are connected with each other to form one whole unity. This idea helps the mind of the child to become fixed, to stop wandering in an aimless quest for knowledge. He is satisfied, having found the universal centre of himself with all things."
