Worrying About the Future.
When your mind and heart are truly open abundance will flow to you effortlessly and easily.
Question:
I’ve just recently started thinking and worrying about the future too much, about future career options, my baby’s future, family life. Everything, health, finances – I can’t concentrate on anything else whilst I’m in this state. Could you please explain of any thinking method with which I can come to relax and let go a bit of my anxieties.
Response:
Whenever you notice that you are worrying about something in the future, notice how agitated and uncomfortable your body feels. Pay close attention to exactly what it feels like and where you feel it. For example you may feel a kind of tightness in the upper chest area, or a slight sense of nausea in your lower abdomen. Be aware that no bad events have actually happened to you yet, this discomfort is created from your fear and uncertainty.
To create a sense of ease and comfort, just bring your mind and senses fully into the present moment. Breathe deeply and fully, noticing how your lungs fill and empty with each respiration. Engage your sense of sight, smell, taste, hearing and touch with your environment–fully enjoying the cup of tea you are drinking while you watch the birds feeding outside your window. Be aware of how complete those experiences are and how perfect that moment is all by itself. Find genuine gratitude for the miracle of this segment of your life. Breathe in that thankfulness and anchor that experience.
If you do this whenever you notice that you are obsessing about the future, it will bring you back to your stable present center.
Love,
Deepak

Worrying About The Future.
When your mind and heart are truly open abundance will flow to you effortlessly and easily.
Question:
How do I stop worrying about the future and thinking of the past all of time?
Response:
First you must be aware of when you are doing it and realize it is an unconscious habit. That conscious recognition allows you to see the worry response and attachment to the past objectively instead of being caught up on the emotional story. Just taking a few deep breaths and being aware of your mental/emotional process brings you into the present time and that higher presence of consciousness begins to dissolve and repattern your habitual worry into a relaxed and easy response to the present. Without ever struggling against your mental habit, you will find that over time your silent witness awareness will spontaneously replace that unconscious habit with present time awareness.

I am 78,n a RETIRED ENGINEER.I know for a fact that elders tend to hark back to their past Positions,Achievements and Recognitions etc from Society and Family and not being able to adjust to the Present, the Ego makes them suffer terribly. Similarly due to lack of exposure to the spiritual realities, they live in constant fear of Death and in this manner miss out on the Present also (where probably there is no problem.)There are more than 100 million elders in INDIA and may be about 1 billion in the world but there is little organised effort by Society to change their Consciousness TO LEAD A HAPPY LIFE IN THEIR TWILIGHT YEARS. This is a serious global problem and challenge and their Negativity,I feel, will have adverse effects globally.(By the principle of Interconnectivity of all happenings) Maybe only highly developed Senior Citizens like you COULD DEVOTE THE REMAINING YEARS OF YOUR TRULY BLESSED TALENTS IN THIS ENDEAVOUR. PERHAPS,AS YOU HAVE WRITTEN SO BRILLIANTLY,THIS MAY BE YOUR REAL TRUE MISSION TO WHICH GOD HAS BEEN GUIDING YOU IN THE LAST FEW DECADES.
Hi Dr Deepak, What is the secreet of dreams. how does one inerpret dreams. what are dreams? have they got a message/meaning? please help me as i dream a lot. i have read a lot of books on dreams and i still dont understand
I have been doing the dailty abundance meditations in the 21-day challenge, but find I am getting more upset by the people I meet on the street who ask me for money. I don`t feel like I have the money to give them, but I also feel great guilt because if I gave up something myself there would be more money to give them. I also know what it`s like to be poor and the feeling of fear and struggle, but instead of having compassion for the people asking for money, I feel anger because I attribute my own poverty to my wrong choices and ignorance. I want personal abundance, but I want it for all. Do rich people have people on the street begging them for money? I don`t think so - they are in chauffered cars and in first class seats on planes and don`t come in contact with the suffering on the street. I don`t want to be in contact with the suffering on the street, I would like to solve it from a place of peace and quiet and beauty and abundance.
