Timeless Meditation Moments.
When your mind and heart are truly open abundance will flow to you effortlessly and easily.
Question:
Hi Deepak, I have been practising mantra meditation for over 20 years, and recently when meditating with an elderly friend, time appeared to ‘jump’. That is 5 minutes of subjective time was actually 20 minutes real time. During that episode, I was in no-thought wakefulness. It was a very surprising to experience it. Do we transcend time & space? i.e. the time-space continuum? Does resonance occur in some way when 2 or more meditators meditate together? Thank you.
Response:
Time and space are not actual objective realities. They are mental constructs we invent to help us navigate physical experience. When the awareness settles down into silence in meditation, we are going beyond the mind—transcending mental activity. When the mind stops, the concepts of time and space are not operative to that pure awareness of the self. When we return to conventional awareness, the sense of time and space return, but often with a slight distortion by having been in the timeless realm.
Love,
Deepak
