Could you explain what the essence of time is?
Response:
We never subjectively experience time as measured increments. We cannot experience the past, nor can we experience the future. What we really experience is a continuous present. Our inner state is an ever-present awareness. However our limited mind cannot grasp this unlimited experience of awareness and so it creates the concept of measured time that extends into a past and into a future. Time is only a poor mental construct to approximate the ever-present state of the true self, unbounded awareness.
When the mind’s activity ceases in deep sleep, so does our sense of time. Our mind recreates the measurable idea of time each morning when we wake up. However, our ever-present, timeless self is always there.

Dear Deepak Sir, Is time absolute or relative for an individual and with respect to others? Is it possible to change conditioning of mind in a life time??
Response:
An individual subjectively experiences time as the interval between events, and that experience will vary depending upon the consciousness of that individual. So subjective time is variable for any one individual as well as being variable between individuals. Mental conditioning can certainly be changed in a lifetime if one is motivated. Some conditioning is more deeply set than others, and so those mental habits will take longer to change.
