Swaying in Meditation.


When your mind and heart are truly open abundance will flow to you effortlessly and easily.


Dear Deepak, When me and my son meditate our bodies start moving back and forth or to the sides like a pendulum. What does it mean? Thank you so much for all you are doing.


This rocking to-and-fro doesn’t mean anything special. It can sometimes begin unconsciously as an automatic self-soothing response, that just keeps going on its own. And when someone you are emotionally connected to starts to do it, it is very easy to start moving too.

Recognize that you don’t need this rocking process because it is not adding anything to your meditation. It is better to simply be still, because if your body is motionless it will be easier for the mind to experience pure stillness and silence. Just knowing this should be enough to stop the rocking motion.
