Spontaneous Detachment.

Quote.

When your mind and heart are truly open abundance will flow to you effortlessly and easily.

Question:

Does a person have to engage in some type of spiritual practice in order to reach a point where they feel detached from desires and in the present?

I do not meditate or do yoga but lately I have reached a point where I just feel exhausted from worrying and feeling anxious all the time that I just realized that it was easier to detach myself from the results.

I came to this epiphany on my own w/o meditating or yoga. Is this abnormal? I am still engaged in what I need to do to create my future but I am sick of worrying about it. I don’t know if this is unhealthy
or not.

Response:

The disidentification of the higher self in relation to thoughts and desires is a natural process. It is accelerated through meditation, but it can and does develop on its own. This is part of what we refer to as gaining wisdom with age. So your experience is not abnormal or unhealthy, quite the opposite. So as long as you are getting rid of things to worry about, you can stop worrying about this too.

Deepak
