Question:
Dearest Deepak,
Something amazing is happening to me. Although I have always had a profound belief in God, suddenly I am aware that there is almost a ravenous thirst for more understanding and searching happening within me. I am not sure why I am suddenly drawn to books, websites, articles, and conversations about spirituality and the interconnectedness of us all. Could you please provide some insight as to why this may be happening, and also would you be able to direct me where to 'start.' There are so many books- which should I read first? Is there a particular 'order' in which to make of this experience and transformation? I am not sure how I ended up here on your website, but decided to TRUST that I did.

The desire for learning about spirituality is driven by the need to know our true self. There are times in life when this internal alert goes off and we feel impelled to awaken to our spiritual self. The place to start is wherever you present interest leads you. It can be through health, emotions, intellectual understanding or relationships. There is no right or wrong book to start with. Pick whatever appeals to you, and that is the place to begin.

The same happened to me. Once I was looking for something to read and there was nothing, but "Conversation with God". I looked through this book before, but it did not spark my interest. This second time, I was "hooked". One of these Dialogues led me to Deepak.
You been Awakened! The exact same thing happened to me about a year ago. It all started when I became curious about life after death (a good friend died) and read a bunch of near death experiences. Then everything came flowing in to me, one after the other - coincidences, intuition, consciousness, energy, etc.. This eagerness for knowledge and understanding of Life lead me to where I am today. I know now that all that is LIFE is divine intelligence and beautifully intricate. And WE ALL, as beings of Earth, have THE POWER to manifest all that we ever wanted (as long as it comes from love). At first I didn`t think this "thirst for knowledge" of Life had an actual term. But there is.. I am "spiritual" and "awakened". Deepak is right. To pick out what books to read, choose the one that appeals to you most. The ones that you`re curious to learn about. Your intuition is your guide.
