How do we know the best way to make decisions?.

Quote.

When your mind and heart are truly open abundance will flow to you effortlessly and easily.

Question:

“I´ve always struggled with whether I should make rational or emotional decisions or simply follow my intuition.

When an issue is haunting me, I try to distance myself the most from it, by not thinking about it, hoping it will go away sooner or later.

But, at the same time, I´m afraid it will come back at any moment – and even stronger – if I don’t deal with it properly when it first appears.

On the other hand, if I focus on the problem, trying to solve it straight away, I end up overthinking and overanalyzing and eventually having anxiety attacks paralyzing me completely.

Is there a healthy balance between all these actions?”

Response:

I don’t think your solution lies in choosing an emotional, rational, or intuitive approach to decision-making.

Whether you are distancing yourself from the decision or overthinking you are still avoiding the issue.

Behind that avoidance is fear, typically, that avoidance stems from a fear of making the “wrong” decision and being judged.

That avoidance can also come from a deep resistance to feeling pressured or controlled to do something you would rather not do.

If you can shift your awareness from this separate self to your real unlimited self, then you will find that presence of awareness that is fearless and free no matter what the task in front of you is.

This state of unbounded awareness is cultivated in meditation and then persists more and more outside of meditation until it is your default state of consciousness.

As this way of living becomes more your new normal, you will naturally make decisions from a place inside that is rational, practical, heart-centered, and intuitive all at the same time.

Love,

Deepak
