Healing in Meditation.
When your mind and heart are truly open abundance will flow to you effortlessly and easily.
Question:
Dear Deepak, Meditation has brought up difficult emotions and uncomfortable body sensations. How do we know we are healed or on the way to healing? Is there a specific sign that tells us we are done with our past? Are there indicative signs that we reached a higher state of awareness? I am asking because before meditation and entering the realm of awareness and spirituality I used to know what I wanted; I dreamed and sought certain things and achievements, but now I am in a great deal of uncertainty about what I want or what to do. Thank you.
Response:
When we start meditation, we are putting our entire mind/body system into the hands of Mother Nature’s intelligence and healing. Instead of our ego mind dictating what we think needs to heal or be strengthened, we are using the cosmic intelligence of the universe to guide the process. Whatever is ready to be healed will be healed during meditation.
So if during the process of meditation we have some difficult thoughts, emotions or sensations arise, we are guided by the understanding that that experience is the correlate of the release of some past conditioning that was ready to go. We can tell we are healing after meditation as we continue to feel freer, more awake, energetic and receptive to life. Some conditioning takes time to release, but eventually it is healed and one day you notice that you no longer react to a familiar trigger the way you always used to. That’s when you realize that it is healed.
