Hard to Watch.

Quote.

When your mind and heart are truly open abundance will flow to you effortlessly and easily.

Question:

I am a CEO for a large organization who meditates daily with a strong belief in the goodness and power of spiritual consciousness. But, as I have become more consciously aware, the brutality and lack of conscious awareness of the human race has become increasingly difficult for me to watch. While my role in my community is critical and my conscious awareness provides me with compassion and an awareness perhaps others may not have, I feel as if I should have a more hands on role in alleviating cruel and in humane treatment that can cause suffering in people and other wonderful conscious animals. How does one handle the pain and suffering when it is so visible in our world today?

Response:

We can alleviate some suffering and cruelty in the world through our kind and compassionate awareness as you are doing, but also through one-on-one interpersonal interactions. That can be mean helping out at a shelter for the homeless or battered women. It could be volunteering at an animal shelter or adopting a unwanted cat or dog. Find a activity where you can make someone’s life a little better, and that will go a long way in making it easier to handle the suffering you see around you.

Love,
Deepak
