Ending Cruelty.

Question:
How will there ever be an end to cruelty since those who have been cruel must live through the resulting karma which means that others must be cruel to them, which means they then are building the same karma, and on it goes. How will this cycle end?
Response:
Cruelty will end when those who are cruel learn compassion and begin to learn that hurting others does not really make them feel better or help them.
The idea behind the law of Karma is not punishment or retribution, it is offering the opportunity to learn self-awareness from one’s actions. Karma gives us the chance to learn compassion and realize our deep connection to others.
