The Observed and Observer.
When your mind and heart are truly open abundance will flow to you effortlessly and easily.
Question:
You once said, “there is the observed, the observer and the silent witness.” Is the observed the body (physical manifestations), the observer would be the mind (thoughts) and the silent witness the Spirit, or our Soul?”
Response:
Your quote is probably more of a rough paraphrase. Whenever I speak or write about the observed and observer I am describing the apparent split between the subject and the object. The subject is the observer, the knower, perceiver and experiencer. The object is the object of perception, the observed. It refers to sensory objects of perception, but also to mental objects of perception – thoughts, ideas, feelings, beliefs. So in the deepest sense, the true observer is the silent witness, the atman, whose essence is not affected or changed by the objects of perception—thoughts, emotions, and sensations.
