Spiritual Growth in the World.
When your mind and heart are truly open abundance will flow to you effortlessly and easily.
Question:
I have always wondered, ‘How is it possible to function fully in the world and at the same time pursue the spiritual path? However I try, I get caught in a web of emotions like jealousy, hunger for achievement, and success. For me, this is duality, this constant angst I experience in trying to balance between what I should feel and what I feel.
Response:
It’s possible to pursue a spiritual path and simultaneously function in the world by acting with integrity and love. If you are troubled by emotions and impulses that take you out of yourself, then instead of giving in to them or fighting against them, observe those impulses from the quiet self within without judgment. This won’t necessarily stop the process immediately, but it stops you from feeding and perpetuating the process and so it will wind down and stop when it has completed its purpose. This procedure allows you to free yourself from the old conditioning and that not only helps you function more effectively in the world, it also helps you spiritually awaken to the truth of who you are.
