Passion and Detachment.

Quote.

When your mind and heart are truly open abundance will flow to you effortlessly and easily.

Question:

Hi, I listened to you and Wayne Dyer “How to get what you want” program where you state that you need to have an intention and passion behind your wish for it to become true. At the same time, you need to get unattached to the outcome. These two things seem contradictory to me – how do you detach yourself from realization of your dream and keep your intention and passion towards it at the same time? Thank you!

Response:

Detachment is not something that you can actively do or practice. Unattachment is the inherent nature of your true self, your silent witness, that you cultivate through meditation. It is an undisturbed presence of consciousness that is the uninvolved awareness which supports your intention without becoming identified with it. So don’t think of detachment as you do to your desire afterward to make it happen. Rather it is the peaceful depth of your awareness, developed through meditation, that you naturally bring to your manifestation process. The desire is the component of manifestation that everyone has naturally. What almost everyone lacks is the awakening of their pure self component, which is what allows Nature to manifest the desire effortlessly.

Love,

Deepak
