Spiritual Solutions - Anger and Irritability

Category:  Spiritual Solutions

Veronica recognizes that she struggles with anger and irritability. How do we deal with anger?
Deepak emphasizes that anger is "remembered pain." He encourages her to get in touch with anger, see where it resides in her body, and write out her feelings in a journal. In the moment, take three deep breaths, observe the feeling, and let it go.

  • Rituals. Make them up, w meaning for you. Like write it down and burn the paper. Or give it to the light and see yourself as a free bird. Do in meditative state, or while dancing, or just in a happy mood, or solemnly, light a candle - what appeals to you. You could take a shower and wash it away. Be creative. You are a creator.

  • The sacred is invisible. Therefore, it doesn’t seem to exist. We know that from the pain: invisible to others, but the one is experiencing it. As wonderful result I, You, We, All feel support instead of inhibition.

  • I myself worked on my issues from my early years of life. Between the ages of 0 to 8 are our building blocks for the rest of our life. If our blocks weren't put in the right place or some are missing, this is where we need to heal. I did it, I no longer live with addictions, anger. My Life and How I May Help You is being designed to help others overcome those 2 destroying factors plus many more. Like my page. Thank you

  • An outside table...some yellow flowers...a beautiful day in the city...and line of your brothers and sisters waiting to blend their energy with yours - personally, uniquely and with the question foremost in their minds. And there you sit, ready, welcoming and eager to share your authentic self, heart first. I think it's wonderful, Deepak, how you are going (even more) directly to the heart of humanity. What an great example you are, as to how not to embrace the illusion of separation :) I thank you with all my <3 for being you. We all do - all of us who are better able to align ourselves in a healthier way... for having experienced the ripple effects of your gifts.

  • Deepak`s teachings are interesting, but I realized what Jesus did for us 2013 years ago. Humbling yourself and turning from sin and following him is the best thing you can do in this life :)

  • Upon looking inward for the source of my discontentment, anger, depression and confusion vice looking toward trying to change environmental factors I made many discoveries about ME. The biggest thing I discovered was that I was an extremely harsh critic of my self. From childhood into adulthood I had spent my life wallowing in self-loathing and self-rejection. Unable to accept myself I tried to gain the acceptance of others. I wanted other people to give what I was incapable of giving myself. That made me an eternal people-pleaser. Then of course, placing expectations on others I always got let down eventually. I would even slip into the melodrama of wishing I could be what I think I should be!. Overpowered by my self-pity and pride I hit bottom. Only after a lengthy addiction to narcotics did I get into recovery. Here I have found my faith in a Higher Power or Higher Self and was given the hope, courage and strength to grow. Self-acceptance or self-love has permited balance in my life and in turn my spirit continues to grow. No longer having to look for the approval of others, I`m becoming satisfied with being ME!!! I am free today to gratefully emphsize my assets, to humbly move away from my defects, and become the best ME I can be! Respectfully, xnavygal (jen)

  • Thanks for the answer/help! This issue has been getting the best of me lately (its usually suppressed), but today it all came out BOOM! I asked my spiritual guide for help as I do not like this side of me. And low and behold I check my subscription feed and here is my answer. Thanks again I will start my journal.

  • Since you are already aware of it, you can use that awareness to focus on the direction you want to go - rather than asking for it to stop you can reframe the question to "how can I trust my friends this time"... you can go deep within and meditate/contemplate on it

  • Choprah, how can you deal with problems that keep repeating througout your life? For example: you acquire a strong belief that friends will always betray you. And then you find evidence for it: friend after friend leaves you when you need the most. How can you stop that repetition? If it repeats even when you`re aware of it?

  • I would assume journaling is writing down that experience from the past that makes you angry. First person is the point of view "I". "I did, I felt, I heard. Second person is "you". I would assume it is to write the same experience but from second person point of view. "You did, you heard, you felt" and Third person is "she/he". Same thing.

  • Write down your feelings or thoughts in first person (using I, we my, me, us) then in second person (you, your) and then in third (He/she, them, their) so that you gradually are able to distance yourself from the initial anger and gain a more balanced perspective. Then you can share those thoughts with someone you trust to help you understand them more and then hopefully feel ready to let them go. Hope this helps!
