Unwanted Feelings

Category:  Deepak Quotes

Ask if you really need to be having the reaction you are having. If the answer is not, the unwanted feelings will begin to go back to balance.
Unwanted Feelings

Top comments

  • All this only arises in the stage of reason: the period you experience in your life when thinking everything out is important. Ones first reaction is subjective (emotion) second is objective (reason). Subjective and objective reality can be united in one wholesome creative neutrality giving rise to nothing becoming a possibilty to some thing ... And that is Holistic Quantum Relativity or the Ouroboros biting its own tail. Everything our Soul wants to acquire in this earthly journey is revealed to us in reflection (looking back on our reactions). Life simply is a learning school. To become aware of this simple fact is Conscious Awareness. No book is needed for that, only experience....

  • We must constantly watch our REACTIONS.Watching itself will generate the question whether the reaction is needed or not. Most often, we can avoid unwarranted reactions by merely questioning their validity and usefulness. We can then respond more appropriately in a more useful win-win manner Thanks for stimulating the thought

  • I try so hard to practice this but it`s a toughly for me. As are so many of the other spiritual truths and practices. I get them all intellectually and I see their value - very much so - yet when the situation arises I find myself washed up into the twirling waters instead of finding that peaceful stillness just below that that if only I could access it I could better assess the situation and act in accordance with what my true self really thinks is right. Oh woe is me lol.

  • anger is the hardest to let go of. Anything that seems so unfair. I tell myself that life can be unfair and it is my turn to have it happen to me and let go. The result otherwise is that I suffer and no one else.

  • One's reactions can perpetuate the emotion you choose to act upon. Act upon frustration, and one can become more frustrated. Act upon sorrow, and one can become more sorrowful. However, act upon joy and peace, and one can become more joyful and more peaceful.

  • He's probably talking about what makes your emotions happen - ' emotional brain - is a brain that has direct link with the reality of emotion - that it always does - for it's what causes emotions to tangle - be '. Therefore, he's making also - a work of expansion of such reality! To go further, he could also be using the ' reality of mental state - - as one with emotions, when-ever of ' their happening ' - it's a definition then - - thus, ' emotional brain - > ' whenever the connection of causes of emotions is to be regarded to its rooting - as a way of expansion, change and reality ! ! ' It is all there : ) : ) ! ! - - ! !

  • I needed to hear that. I wanted so bad to visit my mom in Chicago for Christmas, she is in a nursing home. She is the best mom in the world and sacraficed her whole life to raise five kids alone. I have been unemployed and I don't have a lot of money. I would be comming from Los Angeles to see her in Chicago. I had an Aunt that said I could stay with her so I could see my mom. Don't have money for a hotel. Well for some unknown reason my Aunt changed her mind, and said I couldn't stay at her house. My family is like that hard to count on. I was devestated because I haven't been able to see my mom for almost three years. I am beside myself because I am suppose to leave Friday. I feel so so bad and lost. I meditated this morning but I still feel like this. All I wanted to do is see my mom. My mom is the most important person in the world to me! I can't believe I don't have a place to stay when I get there. I feel consumed with grief about this. Not sure what I am going to do now.

  • For the last four years that I have taught at Penn State University, I have used the first day of class to take an informal poll of my students. "Complete the following sentence," I say, "using whichever of these four answers comes closest to describing you:" "The reason I am at Penn State is..." A. To get a degree so I can get a good job. B. My parents expect me to go to college, and I don't want to let them down. C. I don't know. College comes after high school, so here I am. D. To satisfy my thirst for knowledge. http://www.ascentofhumanity.com/confession-of-a-hypocrite.php "I´ve always express my concern about the infinite amount of spying, secrecy and brutal corruption that, currently exists in all corners of our planet, especially in all forms of governments, political and religious ideologies. As presidential and university (educational institutions) leaders allow the entities of secrecy and spying (so-called espionage) to propagate, they, themselves will be watched in secrecy, by their own families and-or acquaintances (close and distant friends). How can they begin to trust people, if they are taught to not trust, even themselves? People that surround them; even those very close to them, spying on one another, in such sophisticated ways, that no one knows who’s spying on whom and vice versa. All of them, learning to keep their secrets while at their exclusive universities; like in the movies and the mafias." me "In private no MODERN PRESIDENT or HIS FAMILY has matched its PUBLIC PERSONA. Indeed, EACH OF THE PRESIDENTS has engaged in ELABORATE CHARADES TO CONCEAL HIS TRUE CHARACTER, ACTIONS, AND WORDS. From MATERNAL INFIDELITY TO CORRUPTION, from OFFICIAL DECEPTION TO STEALING, from ARROGANCE TO INCOMPETENCE, MODERN PRESIDENTS have MANAGED TO MASK THEIR REAL FACES, MANIPULATING THE PRESS TO CONCEAL THE TRUTH. “If the general public KNEW WHAT WAS GOING ON INSIDE THE WHITE HOUSE, THEY WOULD SCREAM,” A SECRET SERVICE AGENT SAID. “AMERICANS HAVE SUCH AN IDEALIZED NOTION OF THE PRESIDENCY AND THE VIRTUES THAT GO WITH IT, HONESTY AND SO FORTH. THAT’S THE FURTHEST THING FROM THE TRUTH.” “I’ll guarantee YOU,” THE AGENT CONTINUED, “THE PUBLIC DOESN’T KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON MOST OF THE TIME. WHEN YOU ARE INTO POWER AND THAT CLOSE, NOBODY IS GOING TO GIVE YOU ANSWERS. NOBODY WILL TALK.” BUT THEY DID. WHAT THEY REVEALED RAISES PROFOUND QUESTIONS ABOUT THE MODERN PRESIDENCY." • Such an easy thing to say or write about....I am certain Adam Lanze did not stop and ask himself if he really needed to have the planned reaction he was having to some type of brain snapping before he went to kill those beautiful, innocent, and defenseless angels at Sandy Hook. I pray we become more aware of the fact that evil can find its way to people's hearts and minds and to always try to extend our faith and belief that goodness will prevail.

  • I so wish we had teachers liek Deepak Chopra in our schools. I so wish we had classes about spiritual development in our schools so that we can help raise our children with more awareness, more kindness and help them become better people. We should concentrate on our children from young age - before it is too late - rather than concentrating on adults who mess up their own lives and later try to find the path to salvation. What a sad circle of doom.

  • All too often our reactions are to incorrect assumptions about what we are observing. We are thinking not knowing--if only we could remember that, it would save us a lot needless anger, fear, and worry. Certainty is scarce while uncertainty is abundant. If you accept that truth, life can be a source of greater joy and less delusion.
