Evolving as a Choice

Category:  Deepak Quotes

Preserving everyone's life, not simply the alpha types who can get the most food and mating rights, lifted us above Darwinian without having children. We share food; we can marry without having children. In short, we are evolving as a choice, not as nature's necessity. The brain is moving in a more holistic direction.

  • Maybe Humanity is not so much evolving as we are maturing, sorting through all our values to realize what is truly important and lasting versus what is meaningless and delusional. Perhaps we are choosing to INVOLVE one another, eschewing exclusivity, separateness and hierarchical attitudes for inclusivity and dutifulness with brotherly and sisterly feelings of love. Join the Involution! :o)

  • I am reading a book called the Dalai Lhama called the Universe in a Single atom- our purpose is much more than biological reproduction- I like the idea of wholeness as opposed to rather mythical ideas of perfection-that appeals to my notion of reality rather than brittle unrealistic notions that break people- I think learning to be forgiving of oneself and others is all important in that process- super brain super idea

  • I would be glad to share with you evidence of non human and trans-species compassion, tenderness and solidarity. If the moral could be drawn is that human warmth is everything but human: it is universal, and everybody need it to exhist. • In his publication of "The Evolution of an option" Preserve paragraph states that all life, in short, is evolving as an option, not a necessity of nature. The brain is moving in a direction more holistic. "But in their analysis omitted without essential ingredient within interpersonal relationships, and that`s" THE LOVE ".... I wonder: do you think about and as if it was typed inside this context???.

    Dra. Johanna León // 2013-03-17 17:30:10 // //
  • Everything in this world is predestined, situations, your thinking your actions all are predestined.we all are puppets of destiny

  • Wonderful companionship and teamwork if you share the same purpose in life. My 20 years with Charlie have been the most successful -not only for him but for me too- and when I talk about success I am referring to growing as a human being . I have met very unhappy and lonely people who had made it to the top of their professional ladder and were very rich. Yet, when they passed a certain age, they started thinking about the time they had left and how empty that time would be despite the golfing, the boating, the trips to Martha's Vineyards with their powerful and rich friends, etc. But as my grandma used to say: "Different strokes for different folks," or like I would add: "Whatever rocks your boat." Best to all.

  • I am sorry but I am not able to agree on this view. I think human animals are the farest from "God". The closest (with limits) to serenity, non violence and pure simplicity are plants. I consider that putting human apes "above "darwinian evolution is antropocentric. Arrogance and selfconfidence jeopardize our enlightment. We have developed charity and solidarity not because we lay "above" the law of the jungle, but simply to better survive it in social groups, like amts or bees, rats or dauphins, elephants and many other species. Solidarity towards members of the "group" in serious difficulty is not only human. Often non human individuals help and save lives of individuals of other species, far beyond Darwin's law. Youtube is full with videos which are visual evidence of the top of the iceberg. Your books and thoughts are source of constant inspiration to me. But please consider to open a discussion on POST-ANTROPOCENTRISM. Please help me to see better.

  • Yes! This really speaks to me. Been contemplating this lately how we keep creating ourselves taking on new forms based on the possibilities our conscious sees for a more unified or evolved outcome. I just wonder what form our conscious will choose to manifest next and what a great possibility the conception of being human (especially at these times in existence) has turned out to be. Thank-you Universe:) thanks Deepak for sharing!

The evolved human started building and creating things on their accord. Have not seen any other creation create so many things, and keeps creating it. Where is all this creating of things going?
