Early Morning Meditation

Question:

Recently I have experienced a beautiful meditation experience. I couldn't sleep one night, so I started meditating at 4'0 clock. after sometime my breath disappeared and my physical body boundaries disappeared. I did not feel the separation between the air around me in the room and my body, felt my body is that air/ energy!!! though I am thinking that my body boundaries have gone, that peaceful experience was still strong(Usually when thoughts start popping up, meditation experience goes). After sometime felt heaviness in my heart and could not sit in meditation. After getting up from meditation also I was so fresh, as if I had a deep peaceful sleep and did not find the need to sleep afterwards. Could you please tell me the reason for heaviness in my heart and at what time do you get up to meditate? I heard that 4AM is good time to meditate. I would be grateful if you could explain the disappearance of physical body boundaries, what does that mean?
Response:

Early morning has been prescribed as the ideal time for meditation by sages throughout the ages since it is the quietest time of day. It is said to have a special fresh energy associated with it that makes it especially good for meditation. Your experience of physical unboundedness and breath suspension are strong indicators of a deep meditation. The subsequent feeling of heaviness in your heart shows that you released some very profound emotional blocks earlier in your meditation and that gave rise to that heavy feeling. This experience is also good in that it means you are clearing away the old conditioning from your past and opening yourself up to even deeper and longer periods of profound silence in meditation.

I always read his writings and books as I have read :peace is the way,the third Jesus, seven laws for success,magical births,and so on.Whatever he sets forth is what I have had in mind in a raw form and his makes it more meaningful.I always thank God for given him to us and our generation.I can say this greatness is because he is a treasure of the East and the west thought that is why I have found him a great person of our time.   • Spirituality and meditative states are not separate domains, also these share the world with biological science. The reason for feeling of heaviness in your heart is a result of lesser oxygen intake in a session of deep meditation. In samadhi or we say deep meditation state body`s biological functions come to their minimal working state and our brain turns into a self hibernation. Thats good you experienced this state but don`t try to get it with deliberation. For those who are not guided properly/ripen enough can die in deep meditation sleep. Next time whenever you feel you are entering a meditation mood get your room ventilated properly.

  • I too have had some of the most amazing experiences with my early morning meditation. One morning in particular about 4 am, it was probably about 20 min into my meditation, this sensation of another spirit entered my body and I felt all of the sudden my connection to all, plants , animals other people. I felt our oneness. It was like I was being breathed, Everything made perfect sense, I had a conversation with GOD/ The Devine, however it was just a conversation of thoughts, it was not verbal. It lasted minutes but the conversation was hours long. Life has never been the same.
