Self-Realization at Sea.

Quote.

When your mind and heart are truly open abundance will flow to you effortlessly and easily.

Question:

I live in Norway, and am a 34-year-old man. I work in the middle of the sea for two weeks then have four weeks free. I meditate a lot. One day after 6 years of searching for God I found who I am, then found what God is.

After a meditation I realized that the real me is the vacuum or empty inside of this physical body, then realized that this body of mine is like a wall between the outer or outside emptiness and inside emptiness. This realization gave me insight that I which is God am everywhere and in everything, then I understood the meaning of two important sentences that Jesus said 2000 years ago, 1. The kingdom of God is within me and 2. I and my father are one. After that day, I celebrated, and I could not be afraid of anything anymore, because everywhere and to everybody I looked I saw myself in them. I was so nice to everybody.

Response:

This is a beautiful experience, and yes, a very real experience of the Self. You have described exquisitely the emptiness of that of consciousness within you and outside of you. This is exactly the experience I write about in my new book I wrote with Menas Kafatos, You Are the Universe. There is one wholeness, which in Sanskrit is called Brahman, and that is what you are. This is exactly the experience of Christ consciousness from which Jesus declared “I and the Father am one.” In the Upanishads, this experience announces its truth with “I am Brahman.”  This is a state which transcends fear, so that is another validation of your experience. I also loved your phrase “everywhere and to everybody I looked, I saw myself in them.” The Bhagavad-Gita describes this state with the line: “Seeing all beings in the Self and the Self in all beings.”

Deepak
