Forgetting Oneself.
When your mind and heart are truly open abundance will flow to you effortlessly and easily.
Question:
Lately, I have been thinking a lot about becoming one with the ‘real self” and the idea that we are continuously being ‘recreated’. Today, when I finished meditation, for a scary moment I didn’t know who I was, and I began to wonder if this was a medical problem (the beginning of Alzheimer’s) or anything to be concerned about.
Response:
This is most likely a minor incident that has nothing to do with Alzheimer’s disease. Coming out of meditation it is possible to experience a momentary sense of identity displacement similar to the rare occasion when you wake up forgetting where you are. When you come out of meditation your unbounded self is reemerging into your small, contained personality, and during the experience you related, your attention momentarily became aware of that transition.
