Are there non-prescriptions ways of decreasing pain?
Any form of physical exercise will reduce pain in almost every chronic illness. The reason is that exercise gives you an endorphin boost. Your brain secretes this hormone that has pain reliving properties.Top comments

The endorphine boost, so true. At older age one can experience this by simply walking in nature and listen to the birds tweeting instead of twittering lol :)

Well, from my experience Yoga really cures the body because it teaches you to become aware of it in the first place. Am still grateful to have discovered this at a crucial age in my life. But now at older age I like to drink a few glasses of wine daily and am not going to let others tell me that it is not good. I have always listened to my body and the older I get the more I listen to myself and not to any doctor whatever his advice is. Perhaps not prudent but who cares if something inside of you tells you that it cannot hurt.......?

Ask Deepak - Changing My Diet To Be Healthier

I changed my diet to live healthier. Ever since I made those changes though, I am feeling weaker, more sensitive and just worse overall. Can you help?

We also did the CLEAN diet...and what a difference. We pretty much have adopted it for our daily routine. No sugar, wheat, dairy, red meat; lots of fruit and veggies. (Forks, No Knives!) Lost weight and breathe so much better. Mostly all organic. Cannot say enough about healthy lifestyles. Yes, occasionally we take a day off...or part of the day off. Otherwise.....we`re CLEAN all the way!

I think people often mistake eating healthy as "cutting out bad foods" but the focus should be on "adding super foods". Berries! Plant oils! Grains! Lentils! and the unexpected super food: Spices!

I do a ton of physical labor jobs from residential renovations to working on automobiles - and I run into "problems" all day. I usual tell myself a problem will make smarter/stronger after I overcome it. Deepak says to STOP and subtlety change my mood by thinking about something I love until I reach a good state. This strategy mixed with my own perception of growth via adversity will leave me well equipped to handle my daily life, thanks Mr Chopra. Warning: when you get things done in a professional manner, your family and friends always will ask for your help - you become a "go-to person". (I always say yes to helping out no matter how busy I am, gotta help out your peeps.)
