Deepak Quotes

The objective world of science is the measurement of subjective experiences in consciousness.
sb
how can one measure consciousness? is it even possible to "measure" my perception of my experiences? what would the constant be?
sb
This is a paradox, it`s partly true, partly untrue....

  • @Stephanie Schlegel No doubt it is all true what you write, have been there, done that and after my children went to live on their own, it took me another ten years to heal. But remember, Deepak Chopra went through a hell in his own life just after worldwar II. He saw many of his relatives been killed and was in a way `lucky` to be able to emigrate with his family to the U.S. But you should read his autobiography before you judge a person who has had quite some life experiences himself before reaching the `blessed` stage he is in now. He not for nothing calls life a process. And it is. Problem is that only at a later stage in ones life one is able to look back, reflect and heal. Guess this is common procedure for all of us. He also says: when you realize that every one suffers, this is the birth of compassion. We women are still in the middle of a process of awakening to our own power which, and I have to admit, that has been suppressed by paternalistic forces in society. We stand only at the beginning of a (r)evolutionary change, unfortunately the feminine energy still needs a lot of creativity to be accepted in society. We are on our way and each day we take another step in the desired direction. But it needs us women of all ages to stand strong together to get us an equal place in society. I raised my children (a girl and a boy) into this awareness. They already bring this into practice. Their children will take it already a level higher and so this is the way evolution works in my view. Love is the seed in Nature that grows in every new cycle of life.....

  • Love... the purest feeling of human rapture, the brightest light that emanates from our souls, filling our hearts...overflowing. When you discover the feeling is real, you tell everybody, they need to know that the feeling exists. It`s not a love of the heart, but rather a love of the soul, as true and pure as humans can experience. This is the truth that all the great prohets wanted us to understand. They can`t give it to you. If they could they would do so freely. Instead they must draw an arrow in the sand and tell us to begin our own journey toward enlightenment, O yea of little faith!

  • Yes Heulwen I understand it takes a lot of work to be the breadwinner of a family. ...I am not disputing that. ...I have followed Mr. Chopra for quite some time now and it phases me to understand that he (while sitting on his balcony sipping tea that someone fetched for him) believes he can come up with such uplifting things for the common person to become spiritually uplifted when we are the ones facing the gruel and often mundane activities of life. Sure its easy to think positive when life is good and pampered!!!...when one has a staff of people taking care of all of the down time Like fetching supplies or scrubbing toilets...or having your clothes laundered ...One where all one has to do is to delegate a list of expectations for others to assume in order to enable oneself to continue on his way only to pop in every now and then in order to oversee things being done properly...as he carries on his merry way to stare into the horizon and conjure up ways of how to spot the blissfulness of life. Yet It is another thing to live the gruel day to day and again often mundane activities of life and have an uplifted spirit while facing each day!!! Its like a person of freedom trying to tell a person in jail how great life can be great if we paused to enjoy it!!! Where most of us do not have the luxury of having all the time in the world to ponder and enjoy life! If we have a good day then great!!!...if we don`t and most often this is the case yes we can help ourselves to hold our breath long enough to fathom that there can be happiness in any moment But happy moments are rare!!!...and I am truly exhausted of hearing or reading from some pampered being that life is so spiritual yet that not the case nor is it as easy as his messages prevail! I hope this helps you understand my frustration as I wish no I`ll intent for this man...I just wish he wakes up and realizes that we are of the suffering...we have to make our lives as best as we can...often leading to a sense of failure where the burden of life is placed amongst society ...not the privileged...as the privileged often do not realize what the common folk endure while trying to make a home that has hot food on the table at dinner time...one that has laundered clothes...clean toilets...puts the kids through school...shops for groceries...helps with homework...cleans the dishes afterwards ...hoping they have the energy to wake up the next day to do it all over again...one where vacations may come around once every twenty years!!! One where we may not get social time nor time to exercise or time with a partner who clearly seems to enjoy life yet we are the ones scraping by and for what!!!...because we are women who love our children!!! Note that the list is much longer and only one who can relate can attest to understanding my frustrations!

  • This is Deepak`s work, he writes books which we benefit from, he lectures around the world..again for his family, he`s the breadwinner. It is no small thing travelling miles, it`s tiring work, but he is asked to lecture all over the place, I wouldn`t call it a holiday, it`s hard work.

  • Are you married Deepak? Wikipedia does not show you as having a wife or children. Is this a robo post? It`s okay with me if it is... the message is true just the same... and in all religions... LOVE is the greatest of all...

  • May God bless you Melissa...and I thank you for your kind words of love!!!...ü.

    Stephanie Schlegel // 2012-01-26 23:03:15 // //
  • And melissa...yes you are right!!!...but it is men who need the reminder that their place is first and foremost with their family as a team effort!!!...(should they have one!!!)...not enslave a wife to a husband and child...While husband leads a blissful life and lifestyle and has the right to check in when his schedule deems the availability!!!

    Stephanie Schlegel // 2012-01-26 23:00:09 // //
  • Stephanie, even though she erased her comment, needs our love. It is called compassion. So for you who read her rant, give compassion, for those who didn`t read it , give compassion. Love is the answer - to any question.

  • Jtlyk...its lunatic alicia!!!...ü.

    Stephanie Schlegel // 2012-01-26 22:53:42 // //
  • I can`t stand it any longer!!!...you make me soo ill with your life and lifestyle!!! Where you wouldn`t hAve squAt if it wasn`t for your wife holding the fort While you are off playing!!! ...Dear deepak...you suck!!!....flying off to hear and there...claiming you are aware of all man`s frustrations!!!...yet you have no idea what it is like to stay home...fighting the every day mundane activities of children... Fighting the claustrophobia of wanting to get out while being stuck cooking and cleaning for them as well as awaiting a douchebag husband And father who makes his presence known For five minutes before walking or flying off to his next venture while leaving the woman to clean up with no social life...awaiting the return of your sorry douchebag ass just for one peck on the cheek and a happy Five minuTe climb for you!!!...nothing would be there for you if it weren`t for your wife!!!...yet I hear nothing of your appreciation...nor servitude to her!!! So before you zip up and fly off to interview your next celebrity...I`d like to hear how you helped make your wife feel like a person as well...not just by serving you and your kids!!!
