  The New Era for The Brain: Guiding Your Own Evolution

  One of the great abilities of the human brain is to boost itself into a higher function. No one can explain how this happens. By the time early humans discovered fire and simple tools like the wheel and lever, our brains were already the most complex structure in the universe. We then proceeded to use this structure in unprecedented ways. Somewhere in our DNA was the potential for higher mathematics, for example, even though Homo sapiens existed for 200,000 years without tapping that capacity.

  • I have the labyrinth, it is leading me, succint. It is a brain trainer, it is a meditation tool in itself, it has everything I need to keep myself healthy and alert.   The Tree of Life - The Trials of Job and the Grace of Mary

  Among the Oscar contenders this year, The Tree of Life stands out for inspiring awe and wonder. That was the intention, I'm sure, but audiences mostly express awe about the stupendous visuals, which depict the cosmos from the scale of an amoeba to the scale of the Big Bang. What's gotten ignored is the spiritual argument that Terence Malick, the writer-director, clearly poses. It's a very old argument but one that resists acceptable answers today.

  • I`ve seen this movie and it is the neverending story of growing up and having to choose ones own original middle way between the two opposites one encounters during upbringing. It is the ongoing `battle` between the feminine and masculine. These are growing pains. In this movie they are expressed in a rather serious way. Many many sitcoms nowadays show same dilemma only much more humorous. Am in the fourth stage of my life and now able to laugh about it all. Found my balance inside, hope every one of my generation will so that we can all enter the Golden Age with dignity........ :)

  One American Dream Fades - Will Another Be Born?

  The United States remains the country that foreigners criticize the most and want to move to the most. Pursuing the American dream remains a potent motivator for every wave of immigration. It is also a constant theme among this year's crop of Republican hopefuls, who criticize President Obama for tearing down national greatness and pride. Yet beyond hope and rhetoric there are some undeniable facts that counter our embrace of the American dream.

  Happy Futurism: A Lifeline for Optimists

  The world is going through a downturn, which doesn't make for happiness, yet I think the larger trends are surprisingly hopeful. News cycles are fueled by bad news, and ratings must be kept up with impending disasters, whatever it takes to keep the tension high. The evening news gives the impression of a world lurching from crisis to crisis, playing brinkmanship ten times a week.
