    Making Major Mistakes

    Category:  Ask Deepak

    Question:

When your unconscious mind creates stress, fear or anxiety it does so for what seems, at the time, to be a good reason. Unfortunately, the more I think about it now I wish I knew better. Hating how one mistake can change the entire outcome of your life. Is it poor planning, bad karma, timing or simply not meant to be. I hope I'm making sense. I would appreciate your input.

    Searching for Contentment

    Category:  Ask Deepak

    Question:

I struggle with believing in God since you can't see him or her & there are so many other religions out there even with a step mother whose a minister in a Methodist church I still struggle to have faith. My step mother is in Florida & I live in North Carolina she's isnt much help at times. I think it’s because she's giving me advice in the past & I listened to her but didn't follow through what she had told me to do. I feel at times I have no one but my fiancé who cares about my life & my kids’ life here. I know I am not alone but it sure feels that way some days when all others I know won't return phone calls or respond to emails I send. I know I have issues & life is nowhere near perfect for me but I am trying to live the only way I know how to. How can I get the peace I deserve & feel that I am important?

    • Epicurus said this: "Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?" The god of doctrine and dogma would limit the power of the human being, and ask us to take what they say at face value without question; thus, giving great power to an unknown, unseen source that is projected outside of us...but that is not what Christ taught, or Buddha, or Muhammad...realizing that you`re not separate from that source is only the beginning...reconnecting is the task...why call him God? Why not accept that you are God?

    • I`m so sorry for you .but if you read your bible you can see God exists. read acts17:24-27. also @ romans1:20 see how Paul reasoning helps to reveal God`s existanc. the bible does not require us to blindly believe in God. quite the contrary. the bible shows that it is naive, even foolish, to put faith in claims that is not backed by evidence. the bible says; anyone inexpirenced puts faith in every word, but the shrewd one considers his steps. proverbs14:15

    Truth and Religion

    Category:  Ask Deepak

    Question:

I'm 19 years old and have been a Catholic/Christian my whole life but as of late I've been questioning my faith. I've read a good number of your books including your depictions of Jesus and Buddha and both of those have really helped my focus on my spirituality. In doing so, I question has arisen in my thinking and may also be a little Christian and Buddhist influenced; If God is Just, Caring, Loving, Understanding, etc. why does being a part of a specific religion influence whether you're going to heaven or hell? Christians believe that in order to be accepted into heaven you have to become a Born-Again Christian. From what i know about Buddhism, it's about achieving inner peace within yourself, in turn the earth, and coming to terms with your soul. So what happens to people who aren't Born Agains and can't achieve the inner peace to realize that the bigger picture is out there? Do Jews and Atheists just fall into hell because they're not Born -Agains? And this even works both ways with most religions, they either ask people to convert or to accept what’s happening around them. So where is the actual truth? I'm having a hard time looking through the politics of my question and needed some insight into this. I believe throughout every religion there is an ounce of truth that can be used for the tons. I just don't understand how a specific religion can be favored into heaven; It seems counter-intuitive for what God offers to us and the gifts he's already given.

    • Good answer Deepak! It took me years to finally leave the institution of religion...it made me so judgemental! We normally follow our parents religion, brain washed...keep asking questions, then the light will come on...did a lot of research in books and on the net..religion in my opinion is all man made for power, and based on myths...You tube has a great video called Jesus vs Horas...try and stay opened minded, worked for me!

    • I really like this one. The way I see it; one should decide what religion to follow by their self, not forced or for someone else. Because religion can`t be taken away from you and it will walk with you wherever you go in life. So be cautious and choose wisely because your mind will be unbalanced if it cannot believe what it wants to.

    Meditation and Fulfillment of Desire

    Category:  Ask Deepak

    Question:

When meditating, especially in relation to the law of attraction, should one focus on the feeling of the fulfillment of one's desire? Or should one focus on the feeling of Oneness? Or should one focus merely on love? Or all of these (as wordless feelings)? Or should one focus on nothing at all, simply existing within the realm of inner silence?

    • One cannot force anything. Enlightenment happens spontaneously when you are ready. It is given for nothing, no thing. You do not have to do a thing for it. Therefore it cannot be explained, cannot be given to you, it just happens. And when it does, gratitude remains as the background radiation in the Universe.

    Soul and Spirit

    Category:  Ask Deepak

How would you explain the difference between your soul and your spirit?

    • Spirit is The Holy Spirit.....which is directly aside God Our Heavenly Father. Our soul is our mind, thoughts and emotions. When have the ability to renew our soul by allowing the Holy Spirit (our enabler to God thru His Word, The Holy Bible) to transform our lives. When we do this our body (fleshly actions of this world) falls into accordance of our renewed mind and then we with the Holy Spirit are able to be as one with God, Our Heavenly Father. Doing His will.....not those thought up by man.

    • Our soul is like a seed and your spirit is like the rain that waters the seeds. All the good things that we learn in life grow our soul like water grows a plant. If we stand in defiance of knowledge and wisdom we are like a weed or chaf in the wind, where nothing good comes of it.
